Keep working for panel on political boundaries

Hats off and bows to the Herald's editorial writers for the lead opinion piece on Jan. 26. The longer that Illinois remains a one party state the greater is the likelihood that politicians power will trump the good of you, the reader.

Power corrupts and absolute power corrupts absolutely. Illinoisans definitely deserve an independent commission that oversees the drawing of congressional and legislative district boundaries.
