Batavia police say Aurora man violated restraining order

Batavia police arrested an Aurora man on Monday on charges of domestic battery and unlawful restraint.

Jesus Martinez-Tellez, 23, of the 1200 block of Terrace View Drive, violated a restraining order, forced a woman into a vehicle on the 1000 block of Lorlyn Circle in Batavia and took her cellphone, police said in a news release.

Police had been dispatched Monday for a welfare check when they were notified the victim been seen in Aurora with Martinez-Tellez, the news release said.
