Lombard blood drives yield more than 100 pints in January

Lombard is encouraging residents to become blood donors due to critical blood donation shortages across the country.

January is National Blood Donor Month, and Lombard has announced that a total of 115 pints of blood have been collected as part of the village's Winter Blood Drive and other community blood drives.

Future Lombard blood drives held in conjunction with Versiti Blood Centers are scheduled for April 19, June 14 and Sept. 13, at Yorktown Center and the First Church of Lombard.

For more information on becoming a blood donor in Lombard, call (630) 620-5712 or visit villageoflombard.org/blooddrives.
