FEMA seeking teens for Youth Preparedness Council
The Federal Emergency Management Agency is taking applications for the 2022 Youth Preparedness Council.
Youths in grades eighth through 11th are eligible. Council members will support disaster preparedness, including giving feedback and opinions, and learn leadership skills.
Students from Region 5 states, which include Illinois, also will be considered for a place on the Regional 5 council. Applications are due March 6. To register for an application information session, or to apply, visit community.fema.gov/PreparednessCommunity/s/apply-to-ypc.
