Palatine police offering free child car seat inspections

The Palatine Police Department is offering free child car seat inspections through an online signup system.

Inspections will be conducted by a child protection safety seat technician at the Palatine police station, 595 N. Hicks Road. Technicians are trained by the National Child Passenger Safety Certification Training Program.

Working with a CPS technician will be a one-on-one learning experience. When you leave, you should be confident that your child's seat is installed correctly and feel comfortable reinstalling it on your own.
