Organizations can apply for funds from Palatine Rotary

The Rotary Club of Palatine is currently accepting applications from local community organizations for possible donations from the club as part of its annual allocation program.

Organizations applying for funding from the Rotary Club of Palatine should support the Palatine community directly and be tax exempt under Section 501(C) (3) of the Internal Revenue Code. All applications will be considered for funding, but funding is not guaranteed.

Money to be distributed was raised during the 2021 Oktoberfest celebration, which took place Sept. 17-19 in downtown Palatine.

"We had an excellent Oktoberfest that will aid the Rotary Club of Palatine in allocating funds to those in need within our community," said Randy Klingner, president of the Rotary Club of Palatine.

"It's a great feeling to be part of an organization that can give back so much, especially when so many families and individuals are in need of assistance."

Organizations interested in receiving a charitable allocation should submit their application no later than Jan. 22. Applications are available at the Rotary Club of Palatine's website, palatinerotary.com.

Applications can be submitted electronically from the site or emailed to allocations@palatinerotary.org. Printed copies can be mailed to Rotary Club of Palatine Allocation Committee, P.O. Box 412, Palatine, IL 60078.

Klingner encourages interested residents of the Palatine community to learn more about Rotary.

"Those interested in joining our dynamic service organization are welcome to come and hear more about the good work that Rotary does both in our community and around the globe at one of our weekly meetings," said Klingner.

"If you would like to attend a meeting, email us at info@palatinerotary.com and we'll provide the details."
