Des Plaines teen facing gun, drug charges

A Des Plaines teenager was taken into custody early Friday after police investigating a possible violation of an order of protection found him at home with two guns, ammunition and drugs, authorities said.

Bryan Moore, 18, of the 1800 block of Fargo Avenue, is charged with possession of a firearm and ammunition without a firearm owner identification card, possession of a controlled substance, defacing identification marks of a firearm, and violating an order of protection.

Police were called to the house after Moore sneaked in with a friend despite the court order, according to a news release.

When police found him inside, Moore was armed with one of the guns, authorities said. He hid in a room but then surrendered, police said.
