Donate blood for a chance to win an SUV

January is National Blood Donor Month, and time is running out to enter to win a new SUV as part of the Drive to Save Lives Sweepstakes sponsored by Versiti - Blood Center of Illinois. The contest runs through Sunday.

A few mobile blood drives also are scheduled in Lombard this month:

The first one is sponsored by local chapters of the Knights of Columbus from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday in the Parish Center of Christ the King Catholic Church, 1501 S. Main St. A $10 e-gift card also is available for donors.

There are two blood drives on Tuesday: from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Yorktown Center near the lower-level entrance to Von Maur and from 1:30 to 7 p.m. at First Church of Lombard, 220 S. Main St.

Photo ID and masks required. Appointments are encouraged, but walk-ins also are welcome.
