The numbers that count

In the Daily Herald front-page story on "Highs, lows, highs again," it took Jake Griffin 37 paragraphs to get to the key point: "There were 5,689 COVID-19 patients hospitalized in Illinois the last time state health officials reported those numbers ... about 90% are unvaccinated."

Concentrate on the numbers in the hospital and dead and the number that are unvaccinated. Those are the only numbers that mean anything.

Get vaccinated.
