Woman killed in crash on Route 173 near Antioch

A woman was killed Wednesday morning in a three-vehicle crash on Route 173 near Antioch, authorities said.

About 10:45 a.m., the woman was driving a 2013 Chevrolet Equinox west on Route 173 near Pedersen Lane when she drifted into the eastbound lanes and was struck head-on by a 2007 Volvo semitrailer truck driven by a 50-year-old man from Ontario, Canada, according to a news release from the Lake County sheriff's office.

A westbound 2002 Toyota Celica driven by a 20-year-old man who lives near Antioch then struck the Equinox from behind, the news release said.

The woman's identity hadn't been confirmed as of Wednesday afternoon, according to the news release. The two men involved in the crash weren't injured.

The crash remains under investigation.
