Hilltop Community Suppers return Jan. 11 in West Dundee

First Congregational Church of Dundee hosts Hilltop Community Suppers, an outreach effort that offers a free meal on the second Tuesday of the month supervised by volunteers with food handler permits.

The suppers are open to any community member who would enjoy a warm, cooked meal.

The next free supper will be a "drive-through" and "to-go" dinner offered on Tuesday, Jan. 11, from 5 to 6:30 p.m., or until meals last, via the parking lot driveway of the church.

There will be no dining in the church building.

The January menu will feature cavatappi pasta with meat sauce, an Olive Garden salad and breadstick, a fruit cup and a cookie.

The supper will be run entirely by fully vaccinated volunteers working on the meal; everything is sanitized and, before workers enter the church, their temperatures are taken and they are masked.

Social distancing practices will be observed as they continue to take all precautions to ensure a safe experience for all participants and guests.

Suppers are offered at no cost, but freewill donations are gladly accepted to help sustain the meals and any additional contributions are accepted at any time.

Come join this "drive-through" gathering of community members.

"The Church on the Hill" is located at 900 S. Eighth St. (Route 31 and Angle Tarn) in West Dundee.
