The fair, sunrise services

I have lived in Arlington Heights my entire life and as a child I have two very vivid memories of Arlington Park.

First, in the 1950s Arlington Park was host to the county 4-H fair. Growing up on a farm, I remember my brother showing his cow, Nellie, and I entered items in the baking and sewing exhibits.

Second, I remember attending Easter sunrise services in the 1960s at Arlington Park that St. Peter Lutheran Church sponsored. These services were so special.

I'm not sure how people remember these, but they were very special childhood memories for me and my family.
