New nautical-themed restaurant comes to Libertyville

LIBERTYVILLE - A new restaurant with a nautical and beach theme, the Harbor Kitchen+Tap, will have a grand opening Thursday at 1762 N. Milwaukee Ave. in Libertyville.

The restaurant, now open in the location of the former Cafe Pyrenees French restaurant, is a new brand creation from Four Napkin Hospitality Group. Its other brands include Tap House Grill and Pour House Kitchen.

Harbor Kitchen features a U-shaped bar, two private party and dining rooms (the Makai and Cabana rooms), beach posters, fishing nets, a ship's helm wheel, multicolored surf boards, teak wood, ocean blue glass tile and white wood bar seats.

The restaurant will serve fresh island dishes and coastal craft cocktails. Its draft beers include Kona Brewing, Maui Brewing, Corona, Pacifico, Modelo and Lost Coast Tangerine. The nautical-themed menu features Starboard Starters, Seaside Sandwiches and The Main Deck entrees. All lunch selections are $6.99.

The grand opening will take place at 4 p.m. Thursday.
