Des Plaines to buy new fire truck
The Des Plaines city council will meet Monday to approve a variety of purchases and other proposals, including the acquisition of a new ladder truck for the fire department.
The truck is expected to cost more than $1.4 million and will come from MacQueen Emergency, a Minnesota dealer.
The council also is set to purchase an ambulance from a western Illinois company called Foster Coach Sales for more than $332,000.
The meeting is set for 7 p.m. at city hall, 1420 Miner St.
