DuPage business groups to host inclusion seminars

WHEATON - Innovation DuPage and the Wheaton Chamber of Commerce will offer a three-part series on diversity, equity and inclusion called "Diversity Matters: A New Mindset for Today's Leaders."

This virtual series will take place from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. on Wednesdays, Jan. 12, Feb. 16 and March 9.

The Diversity, Equity, Inclusion (DEI) Committee of the Wheaton chamber will partner with Innovation DuPage to host this series, designed to provide practical and informative programs to businesspeople in DuPage County. This virtual series will answer questions about the current demographic landscape, how to integrate DEI into an organization and how leaders can work together to be inspiring examples of inclusivity.

Speakers for Part I on Jan. 12, "Wheaton & DuPage County: Today, 2030 and Beyond," include David Roth, executive director for the DuPage Federation on Human Services Reform; Jacob Kniep, founder of OUTspoken Leaders; Kate Beck of AbilityLinks; and Carlos Johnson of DONKA Inc.

Shefali Trivedi, executive director of Giving DuPage, will moderate this panel and speakers will address how shifting demographics and cultural change have impacted business.

The series is free thanks to a sponsorship by Innovation DuPage, a nonprofit venture that unites startup founders and small business owners with the people, resources and programs that support their growth. Register for each program at WheatonChamber.com.
