Partnership has helped hospital in difficult year

On Jan. 1, Northwest Community Healthcare celebrates our first anniversary of being part of NorthShore University HealthSystem. We're grateful to have had the commitment and support from NorthShore to grow and serve our patients, while remaining true to our mission and values that closely connect us to the community.

We are expanding services when and where it makes sense to do so, such as with the new Buffalo Grove Outpatient Care Center that houses both NCH and NorthShore providers. We are investing in community services and were proud to make a $1 million investment in the Palatine Community Resource Center, which provides health, wellness, education, literacy, social services and counseling for the underserved. We have administered tens of thousands of COVID-19 vaccines and counting — to protect our team members, first responders, patients and the community. Our strong and growing medical staff provides compassionate and personalized care close to home, with leading clinical expertise and state-of-the art facilities and technology.

Our partnership with NorthShore has provided an additional and valuable level of support throughout this tumultuous year, ensuring access to the necessary protective equipment for our team and bolstering our vaccine supply when needed. The Palatine Resource Center investment is part of NorthShore's Community Investment initiative that will provide millions of dollars of community funding in the coming years.

We are fortunate as well to have the continued guidance and support from our local board of directors and the NCH Foundation. Our 4,500 team members and physician partners are committed to delivering their best care through it all.

As we begin NCH's 63rd year, we remain deeply rooted in and committed to the health and well-being of all residents of the Northwest suburbs. Our mission to improve the health of the communities we serve and meet each person's health care needs, endures.
