Naperville auto repair shop earns national honor

NAPERVILLE - For the second consecutive year, the owner of a Naperville transmission and auto repair shop has been named the Milex Franchisee of the Year.

Al Martin has operated the Multistate Transmission store in Naperville for the past 26 years and co-branded the shop with Milex Complete Auto Care in 2015. This year is the third time he has won the award, with the others coming in 2016 and 2020.

Milex is one of the Moran Family of Brands, based in Midlothian. Martin started with Moran as an operations manager for the corporate office and has recently served on Moran's Franchise Advisory Alliance.

Moran Family of Brands, one of the nation's leading franchises of general automotive repair, transmission repair and window tint services, recently announced its annual Franchisee of the Year winners for all three categories. Martin is the only winner from Illinois.

The three Franchisee of the Year winners will be recognized at the Moran Family of Brands' convention, which will be held Feb. 3-5 in New Orleans. Voting for the awards was done by Moran franchisees.

"We would like to congratulate to each of our Franchisee of the Year winners," said Peter Baldine, president of Moran Family of Brands. "They are each longtime and respected franchisees in our system that exemplify Moran's core values.

Franchisees eligible for the award must have demonstrated Moran's core values of D.R.I.V.E. (Dedication, Respect, Integrity, Vision, Enthusiasm). They also exhibit outstanding service to their customers and provide support for fellow franchisees and the entire system.
