Naperville police investigate Dollar Tree armed robbery

Police are investigating an armed robbery that took place Thursday morning at a Dollar Tree store in Naperville.

Officers arrived at the Dollar Tree at 1550 N. Route 59 at 9 a.m., according to a news release. The robber displayed a knife, stole an undisclosed amount of cash and fled on foot, the news release said. Nobody was injured.

The thief is described as a Black man who stands about 5 feet, 10 inches tall and weighs 200 pounds. He wore a gray hooded sweatshirt and jeans. Anyone with information about the robbery should call the Naperville Police Department at (630) 420-6666 and ask for the Investigations Division.
