Naperville hosting open house for residents impacted by June tornado
Naperville officials are holding a needs assessment open house on Monday for residents who have been affected by the tornado that tore through the region on June 20.
The open house will happen from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday in the gymnasium at Ranch View Elementary School, 1651 Ranchview Drive.
The event is sponsored by the Naperville Long-Term Recovery Group, an organization consisting of the Ranch View Area Community Assistance group, Naperville city officials, Loaves and Fishes Community Services and other volunteers. The group was formed to determine long-term needs for residents and the funding and resources that might be required.
People from households directly impacted by the tornado can fill out a needs assessment survey at the open house. Volunteers will be on hand to help residents fill out the survey.
Residents unable to attend the open house can fill out the survey at naperville.il.us by Jan. 12. Anyone with questions about the open house can call Linda LaCloche, the city's communications director, at (630) 420-6034.
