Lombard to trim trees through April 2022

Lombard's winter tree pruning program is ongoing through April 2022.

The designated pruning areas are east to west between South Addison Avenue and South Grace Street and from north to south from St. Charles Road to Wilson Avenue.

Trees are to be pruned to a minimum height of 15 feet over roadways to allow for safe clearance by vehicles and pedestrians or to remove obstructions for signs.

Limbs also are removed if they are diseased, broken, dead, structurally unsound, or interfering with utility lines or streetlights.

The pruning work will be done using in-house forestry staff and a private tree maintenance firm contracted by Lombard.
