Bartlett man hit by Jeep while walking dog on Stearns Road
A Bartlett man was struck while walking his dog on Stearns Road, according to Bartlett Police.
The 58-year-old was struck by a 2019 Jeep Grand Cherokee at 8:30 a.m. Tuesday in a marked crosswalk.
The victim suffered life-threatening injuries and was taken to Central DuPage Hospital in Winfield.
The Jeep's driver, a 41-year-old Bartlett woman, was driving east on Stearns Road before her vehicle struck the man, according to police.
Stearns Road between Prospect Avenue and Chippendale Drive was closed for three hours by the Bartlett Police Department.
The crash is still under investigation.
