Fire damages vacant Downers Grove house

A vacant Downers Grove house was damaged Sunday from a fire that officials say started in the attic.

Firefighters were called at 6:15 p.m. to the house on the 1000 block of Norfolk Street after multiple 911 calls from neighbors reporting fire spotted through the roof of the single-story home.

No injuries were reported.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.

No damage estimate was available.
