'Nancy Drew...Reporter'

In this 1939 film that was part of the original Nancy Drew mystery series, high school reporter Nancy Drew competes in a local newspaper's amateur reporter contest and ends up trying to clear a girl wrongfully charged with murder. It's both a comedy and a mystery with car chases, boxing matches and song. Bonita Granville plays Drew. Thomas E. Jackson and Art Smith play a couple of the editors. You can find it on DVD and some streaming platforms.
