Socialized welfare states

I think it is interesting that U.S. Rep. Rodney Davis (Taylorville R) said "Democrats in Washington put our nation in crisis with their big government, socialist schemes and dreams." We always have enough money for socialist welfare for the multi-billionaires and trillion dollar Corporations. Much of our federal tax money paid by mostly Blue States goes to Republican socialist welfare states. This can be corroborated by many reports including Rockefeller Institute of government and Forbes section heading - "Long-standing Red State Bailout."

This long-standing welfare allows the "taker" states' local, state and federal political leaders to do nothing to actually help their states, as long as they can hold out their hands and federal money drops into their open hands. If every state (including Mitch McConnell's) would pay its fair share, we would more than likely be able to reduce the federal debt. If Illinois, which pays more in taxes, got back what Mitch McConnell's Kentucky welfare state gets back, the pension problem would be solved.

Here the states with the largest positive balance of payments (the biggest takers - these states pay much less than what they get from the federal government): Virginia ($111.8 billion); Kentucky ($63.2 billion) (Mitch McConnell's state should file bankruptcy. not Illinois or New York); Florida ($51 billion); Maryland ($50 billion); Ohio ($42 billion); Pennsylvania ($41.5 billion); North Carolina ($35.4 billion); Alabama ($33 billion); Arizona ($30.9 billion); South Carolina ($28.2 billion).

Seven other states are donor states. They pay in more than they get back. Illinois is usually a donor state but does not make the top seven: New York (-$22.8 billion); New Jersey (-$10.3 billion); Massachusetts (-$9.9 billion); California (-$6.7 billion); Connecticut ($5.8 billion); Minnesota (-$1.9 billion); Colorado (-$1.4 billion); Utah (-$416 billion);
