Gen Z ready to take over on climate

OK, Boomers ... OK, Gen Xers, Gen "Nexters," and even OK millennials ... you all have failed future generations for selfish gain or self-actualization.

How can this still be a debate? According to Climate.gov, "Carbon dioxide levels today are higher than at any point in at least the past 800,000 years. In fact, the last time the atmospheric CO₂ amounts were this high was more than 3 million years ago ..."

Climate.org goes on to say, "the annual rate of increase ... is about 100 times faster ..." over the last 60 years.

Most of us can agree that global climate change is happening. Those who deny it are intellectually dishonest or turning a blind eye. Some admit climate change is real, however question whether it is man made or some other cause at work. Evidence of climate change and global warming is pointing more toward humankind as the leading cause of it.

The global temperature has risen by 2.12 degrees Fahrenheit, which has been caused by increased CO2 emissions. Oceans have warmed. Ice sheets have decreased, Glacial retreats are around the world. Snow cover has decreased. Sea levels have risen. It's only a matter of time before it's too late.

The time for action is now. Gen Z will rise up to the challenge and clean up the mess. We won't bury our heads.
