Palatine extends curbside leaf collection

The Palatine Public Works Department will conduct an additional curbside leaf collection this week.

All residents must have their leaves placed into the street and ready for pickup by 7 a.m. Monday. Crews will start the collection Monday and continue throughout the week until all the leaves have been collected.

Collection in all zones is anticipated to finish by Friday, Dec. 3.

Only one pass down each street will be made. Leaf piles set out after crews have cleaned the street will not be collected and must be bagged for the weekly household yard waste pickup.

Residents with additional leaves to dispose of must bag them for their weekly yard waste pickup. Groot will continue collecting bagged and bundled yard waste through the week of Dec. 13.
