Lindenhurst police: Pair tried to rob victims in driveway

Lindenhurst police are asking for the public's help in identifying the men who tried to rob two people Sunday evening in a driveway.

Officers responded to the 200 block of Hazelwood Drive about 5:30 p.m. Sunday, according to a news release.

The pair approached a man and woman in the driveway and demanded "everything they had," police said.

One suspect was described as a black man in his 20s, standing about 5 foot 6 inches with a medium build. He was wearing blue jeans, a gray hooded sweatshirt and a black face mask.

The other suspect was described as a younger black man in his 20s, standing about 5 foot 6 inches with a medium build. The second man has curly hair and was wearing a white hoodie and a black face mask.

Both fled in a light-colored minivan.
