Gas leak shuts down part of Lake-Cook Road in Buffalo Grove

A large gas leak near the intersection of Lake-Cook and Weiland roads in Buffalo Grove has resulted in road closures in the area.

The closures are affecting all directions near the intersection as crews investigate the problem, according to Buffalo Grove's Facebook page.

Nicor has arrived and is working to stop the leak.

Buffalo Grove and Wheeling police officers and firefighters are on the scene.
