Profane protesters

I have some questions for the editors of the Saturday Soapbox about th "inappropriate rally of one" that refers to the protester with profane flags on the corner of Meacham and Higgins. Do you know that he and others with loud speakers are at the corner of Meacham and Golf every Sunday?

Have you ever heard the obscenities blasted over a loud speaker as families and children are out on a Sunday afternoon? Do you really not know that these people with profanity-laced flags and signs paint the Woodfield area in a very bad light?

Cars with children are subjected to this every weekend. You can hear the person on the loud speaker swearing all the way to the Woodfield Mall parking lot. Why are we subjected to this? Isn't there some ordinance against profanity and obscenities in public?

On Sunday we avoid the area because it is so disturbing. We support peaceful protest. Maybe the Herald can investigate the use of public profanity. I'm sure if someone walked into an establishment and started screaming and swearing, that the police would be involved. Why not here?
