No injuries reported in Antioch house fire

Antioch Fire Department officials said no one was injured in a house fire early Wednesday evening that appears to have started in the home's garage.

Firefighters were called to the 600 block of Midnight Pass just before 6:15 p.m. by a neighbor reporting flames from the house.

Initially, firefighters were told one of the home's residents was still inside, but ultimately all residents were out of the home.

Firefighters reported "heavy fire" in the two-story, single-family home's two-car garage.

Fire officials said the blaze was quickly extinguished, though firefighters stayed on scene until after 9:30 p.m. performing salvage work.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.

Damage to the house was estimated at $100,000.

Fire officials said the house was deemed uninhabitable and the residents went to stay with relatives.
