Electronics recycling ends Monday at Hoffman Estates village hall

The Solid Waste Agency of Northern Cook County's large Electronics Recycling Drop-off Program at Hoffman Estates village hall will end for the season on Monday.

Residents of SWANCC member communities to drop off electronic items at the village hall, 1900 Hassell Road, from 10 a.m. to noon Monday. The program runs from April through November each year.

Year-round large electronics recycling is available to SWANCC residents between 9 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. Saturdays at the Glenview Transfer Station, 1151 N. River Road in Des Plaines.

Visit www.swancc.org for a full list of items accepted for recycling, including TVs, computers and computer components, DVD players, fax machines, MP3 players, printers, scanners, VHS players and video game consoles.

Small electronics like cellphones, laptops and cameras, and rechargeable batteries can be recycled by using drop boxes in the village hall lobby during normal business hours.
