Elgin to hold annual Veterans Day ceremony Thursday

Elgin will hold its annual Veterans Day ceremony on Thursday. The event, held in partnership with American Legion Post 57, will take place at 11 a.m. in the Heritage Ballroom at the Edward Schock Centre of Elgin, 100 Symphony Way. The ceremony will feature a welcome from Mayor David Kaptain, guest speaker Jerry Turnquist, representatives from local veterans organizations and music performed by the Larkin High School band.
