Noted soprano to perform at Barrington's White House

Join Barrington's White House, 145 W. Main St., Barrington, for a special performance by soprano Michelle Areyzaga in the third floor ballroom at 3 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 14.

As a performer with a diverse repertoire, American soprano Michelle Areyzaga, alongside her pianist and collaborator Dana Brown, is held in high regard by orchestras and opera companies throughout the United States and abroad.

Areyzaga will perform the music of Brahms, Barber, Bernstein, Berlioz and more, including Barber's "Knoxville Summer of 1915" and Bernstein's "I Hate Music," "So Pretty," "My House" (Peter Pan), "A Little Bit In Love" (Wonderful Town), "Ain't Got No Tears" (On the Town), "Glitter and Be Gay" (Candide).

Areyzaga has performed operatic roles with New York City Opera in Telemann's Orpheus, as well as in their VOX series, and has appeared in leading roles with Chicago Opera Theater, Lyric Opera of Chicago's In the Neighborhoods programs, Ravinia Festival, Opera Birmingham, and Orquesta Sinfónica del Estado de México.
