Fox River-Geneva American Legion Post 75 to host Veterans Week

The Fox River-Geneva American Legion Post 75 invites the community to participate in Veterans Week events.

On Thursday, Nov. 11, the American Legion Honor Guard will present a Veterans Day Salute at 11 a.m. at Third and State streets.

It will be followed by an open house at the post home, 22 S. Second St., from 3 to 9 p.m. It will include live music, a cash bar, and raffle drawing.

On Friday, Nov. 12, see the opening of the Veterans Art Show from 6-8 p.m. The exhibit features the work of several local veteran artists.

On Saturday, Nov. 20, consider donating to the Gifts for the Yanks program from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the post home. The Gifts for the Yanks Who Gave program was instituted in 1944 to remember hospitalized war veterans.
