Campton Hills welcomes new administrator

On Nov. 1, the Village of Campton Hills welcomes Denise Burchard as its new village administrator.

Village President Mike Tyrrell said, "The village is very excited for Denise, because she brings a wide range of experience that includes, public sector consulting, college instruction and administration as well as village management experience. We feel very fortunate to have Denise join and lead our team."

Prior to joining Campton Hills, Burchard worked for the Northern Illinois University's Department of Public Administration, as assistant to the chair. Before her work at NIU, Burchard served as a consultant for Voorhees Associates, LLC, and The PAR Group, Paul A. Reaume, Ltd.

Burchard's local government management and administrative experience includes work at the Village of Woodridge, and then as assistant village administrator of the Village of Bloomingdale, Illinois. Burchard holds both a bachelor and master degrees from NIU in political science and public administration.

Burchard said, "I am very excited to get to know the Village of Campton Hills. The village's mission and vision statements are inspiring, and I look forward to being a part of the community. After the warm reception I received my first day on the job, I know that I am going to enjoy working with the staff and getting to know the people who live and work here."
