42 years late

Oh joy, another town center for a place full of vacant retail space. I moved here in 1979. Our real estate agent told us Buffalo Grove is "building" a town center and they did. Only it turned out to be just another strip mall in a town full of them. That's how I see the place I've lived for 42 years. Schools, park district, police and fire and public works departments are great. We've raised our sons here and have made great friends, but as a great place dine out and shop, it's a no go and never will be. Buffalo Grove is just too late. There are too many places to go nearby for this latest play to work. Forty-two years too late. Sad.
