Native landscaping conference set for Nov. 13

The Lake to Prairie Chapter of Wild Ones is holding a native landscaping conference from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, Nov. 13, at the Round Lake Beach Cultural and Civic Center, 2007 N. Civic Center Way, off Hook Drive west of Route 83. The featured guest is author and speaker Doug Tallamy, who will give presentations on his latest books, "Nature's Best Hope" and "The Nature of Oaks." Doors open at 8 a.m. Masks are mandated. Water and coffee will be available, but bring your own drinkware. Tickets are $35 for members and $40 for nonmembers.
