Maine East honor society organizes Halloween fun

Maine East High School's National Honor Society will host "Haunted Hills and Trails" for the Park Ridge community on Friday.

Activities will run from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. outside Door No. 7 at the school, 2601 Dempster St. Games, crafts, face painting and other types of fun are planned.

The event is aimed at families with kids ages 2 to 10. Admission is free.

Parking will be available in the south lot.
