Join us in Des Plaines exciting renaissance

We in Des Plaines believe that our town is undergoing an economic renaissance. The renovated Des Plaines Theatre and Onesti Entertainment have attracted a lineup of performances with excellent national reputations. We expect these performances to bring new excitement and vitality to our town, which already boasts the Allstate Arena and Rivers Casino - the state's largest.

Property taxes in Des Plaines are among the very lowest in the Northwest suburbs thanks in large part to a thriving business and industrial community. The median price of a home has jumped by more than 12 percent.

We have affordable housing and do not need to build a special project to create it. We have a diverse population and are proud of it. We have a young forward thinking mayor who is breathing new life into a mature suburb, as stories in this newspaper will attest.
