Grains higher, livestock mixed.

CHICAGO (AP) - Grain futures were higher on Thursday in early trading on the Chicago Board of Trade. Wheat for Dec. rose 5 cents at $7.24 a bushel; Dec. corn was up 4 cents at $5.14 a bushel; Dec. oats gained 10 cents at $6.40 a bushel; while Nov. soybeans advanced 14.25 cents at $12.0050 a bushel.

Beef was mixed and pork was lower on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.

Oct. live cattle rose 1.07 cents at $1.2557 a pound; Oct. feeder cattle off .20 cent at $1.5772 a pound; Oct. lean hogs fell .30 cent at $.8827 a pound.
