Infrastructure isn't people
Definition of infrastructure (noun) ... The basic physical and organizational structures and facilities (e.g. buildings, roads, power supplies) needed for the operation of a society or enterprise
That's all there is to infrastructure. There are no people described in the definition. It has to do with things, not people, and our illustrious elected officials on the Hill don't seem to understand that simple fact.
It seems to me that they'd get a lot more things accomplished on the Hill if they had one-subject bills of no more than 100 pages. That would ensure our representatives would be able to read and comprehend fully what's put before them and never again would they have to "pass it to see what's in it" as they have in the past.
But then again, a concept that simple would fall under the description of the use of "common sense" something those on the Hill seem to know nothing about. But then again, they thrive on gridlock. It gives them something to talk about while they do nothing.
This applies to all of those on the Hill of both parties.
