How long will we be required to wear masks?

I was so happy to read in Saturday's Daily Herald that COVID-19 hospitalizations are down 15% and the state's positivity rate dropped to 2.7%.

In recent trips to Michigan and Wisconsin, there is no mask mandate.

People are free to wear masks indoors, but they're not forced to wear them.

What are the metrics in Illinois to drop the mask mandate? Will we be wearing masks indoors in perpetuity?
