Karnisovas: Bulls close, but not 100% vaccincated

Bulls vice president Arturas Karnisovas said the Bulls are not 100% vaccinated, but close to it.

Asked how he feels about not all NBA players getting the COVID vaccine, Zach LaVine declined to give an opinion, saying, "COVID-related questions I'm keeping a personal matter to myself, and I think the team wants to do that as well."

Vaccines will continue to be a hot topic around the league, with players like Brooklyn's Kyrie Irving and Golden State's Andrew Wiggins facing local city ordinances that require players to be vaccinated before being allowed to play in home games.

Roster reaches 20:

The Bulls added former Minnesota Gophers forward Daniel Oturo to the training camp roster. With essentially 14 guaranteed roster slots, the Bulls could choose to add one more player when the regular season begins, but they could also leave a spot open. They've also yet to sign a second two-way player besides Devon Dotson. The players in the mix for a vacant spot are Oturo, former lottery pick Stanley Johnson, shooting guard Ethan Thompson, shooting guard Matt Thomas and former Iowa big man Tyler Cook.

Investigation continues:

Arturas Karnisovas did not address progress of the NBA's investigation of tampering by the Bulls. The question to be resolved is whether the Bulls had talks about a sign-and-trade deal with Lonzo Ball before the free-agent negotiating period officially began. If found guilty, the Bulls could face a fine or loss of draft picks.

"Thank you for your question, but I will not be able to comment on that," Karnisovas said.
