Apple Fest arrives in Long Grove, continues through Sunday
Long Grove Apple Fest opened Friday in a spacious new location in the center in town.
The festival includes lots of apple delicacies - everything from fresh apple cider doughnuts to green apple cotton candy - live music on two stages and the Kids Zone providing classic entertainment choices like apple pie-eating contests and timeless games.
The festival continues 10 a.m. to 11 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday in the Stempel Parking Lot, 340 Historical Lane. The Kids Zone is one block away in Towner Square. Admission is $5. Children younger than 12 are admitted free.
Headliners are Sixteen Candles on Saturday and Mellencougar on Sunday.
