Motorcyclist dies after crash late Tuesday in Aurora

A crash in Aurora late Tuesday night left a motorcyclist dead, police said.

Police said the crash involving a car and a motorcycle occurred at Church and Butterfield roads.

After the crash, Butterfield Road was closed from South Raddant Road to Kirk Road/North Farnsworth Road, and Church Road was closed from Butterfield Road to Bilter Road.

The roads were reopened to traffic at 11:40 p.m., according to police.

The motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the hospital, police said. The victim's name has not been released pending the notification of family.

Police said the investigation into the crash is ongoing.
