Glen Ellyn Food Pantry hosts 'Rockin' for the Pantry' concert Sept. 17

The Glen Ellyn Food Pantry invites the community for an evening of fun and music featuring the bands of Glen Ellyn's School of Rock from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday, Sept. 17, in the parking lot of Faith Lutheran Church, 41 N. Park Blvd. in Glen Ellyn.

They are now offering half-priced tickets as a special thanks to donors and volunteers: $25 a car or $12.50 for those who want to walk up or ride their bikes.

Bring chairs and picnic baskets, sit under the stars at their cars or close to the stage, and enjoy rock 'n' roll tunes from across the decades.

Since Sept. 17 is Hunger Action Day, the food pantry is requesting donations of cans of tuna or chicken and asking everyone to wear orange - the color of hunger relief.

For tickets, visit the News/Pantry Happenings page at www.GlenEllynFoodPantry.org.
