Batavia Scouts to host donation drive Sept. 25
On Saturday, Sept. 25, Batavia Cadette Girl Scout Troop 1675 will host a Drive-Thru Donation Drive supporting three local charities: Go With The Flow, Rover Rescue, and Batavia Interfaith Food Pantry.
They are inviting the community to drop off donations for one, two, or all three of these organizations on Saturday, Sept. 25 - anytime between 10 a.m. and noon at Louise White School, 800 N. Prairie St. in Batavia.
Go With the Flow (gowiththeflowparties.org) is dedicated to providing dignity to individuals experiencing homelessness or living with financial limitations when it comes to "that time of the month" by providing costly menstrual products, underwear and toiletries.
Go With the Flow serves individuals in Kane and neighboring counties in northwestern Illinois. Their most needed items are: pads or liners, shampoo, body wash, deodorant, toothbrushes, and toothpaste.
Rover Rescue (roverrescue.org) is an all volunteer group devoted to rescuing homeless dogs of all breeds. They provide safe and loving foster homes to give adoptable dogs a chance at a happy future. Their most needed items are: dog or puppy food, dog treats, collars or leashes, crates, and dog toys.
The Batavia Interfaith Food Pantry (bataviafoodpantry.org) is a volunteer agency directed and operated by community and local church volunteers residing throughout the greater Fox Valley area. Its purpose is to provide food, non-food household and personal items, and clothing for those individuals and families residing in Batavia and Batavia Township who are in need.
The Batavia Interfaith Food Pantry serves over 1,200 individuals each month. Their most needed items are: boxed pasta, cake mixes, boxed potatoes, and kidney beans.
