Lake County Workforce Development has new branding, communications

Each September, states, communities, and workforce development boards across the country join together to recognize the contributions of workforce professionals and highlight events and initiatives that support jobseekers and employers.

As such, September has been declared National Workforce Development Month.

This year, the Lake County Workforce Development Board is celebrating by officially launching its new branding platform, built around a vibrant identity tied to the unique assets of Lake County.

The branding is being rolled out across various deliverables, including all board-level communications tools, and is supported and guided by a robust Brand Manual to protect the integrity of the new brand.

Additionally, in support of the implementation and rollout of this new branding platform, LCWDB has developed a marketing and communications plan to guide a comprehensive program of enhanced outreach and elevation of the board in the county, region and state.

LCWDB has also unveiled its first, stand-alone board-level website, www.lakecountyworkforce.org. The new website provides a portal for members of the business and jobseeker communities to learn more about the board, its membership, and the role the board plays throughout Lake County, the region, and the state.

The new website will serve as the primary communications tool for LCWDB and will work to improve awareness of the board's workforce and economic development roles in the community, as well as direct businesses and jobseekers to services and resources available via the Job Center of Lake County.

In further support of LCWDB's new branding and elevated communications effort, new social media platforms have been deployed to further engage and inform members of the community. LCWDB can be found on the following platforms:

• LinkedIn: www.linkedin.com/company/lakecountywdb

• Twitter: twitter.com/lakecountywdb

• Facebook: www.facebook.com/lakecountywdb
