Act to save nuclear plants
At this time, nuclear power provides about 50% of Illinois' power supply. Due to a silly spat between Democrats in Springfield, two of our five nuclear plants may shut down resulting in power shortages, harming the power grid, etc. Do we really need another reason for people to flee this state? Weeks ago, the Daily Herald thoughtfully raised this issue but no progress has been made. The Republicans should be pounding this issue, but as usual they are asleep at the wheel. However, if these plants close, the resulting pain and suffering will be squarely on Pritzker and the Democrats.
