A shameful fiasco

As I heard President Biden's pedantic and weak address to the United States of America and the entire globe, I became even sadder than I was 12 days ago at the outset of this military fiasco. More than that, I possessed an anger beyond belief.

Our president's dereliction of duty, abandonment of our military and the neglect of American nationals constitute impeachable offenses. On top of this, a glib tone in his press conference did not inspire the confidence of our tremendous nation.

Not only did we leave our military infrastructure and embassy to our Taliban terrorist enemies, but our government encouraged those trapped as potential hostages, as well as the noble interpreters and Afghan allies who have stood by our side for two decades, to text or reach out through social media if they are to be rescued.

Instead of surrendering to the enemy in the illusion of a pursuit for military withdrawal and a false peace, we must rescue every American, whatever the cost or sacrifices may entail. We must show our enemies that we are in the business of advancing America and will be for all time to come.

Rather than provide our sworn enemy the name of every hostage in their grasp, we ought to convey to the Taliban that we will completely destroy them if they harm one of our own. Make no mistake: unless we stand up and convey our fury and back up our rhetoric with raw power, our foes will grow stronger. It is time to get serious about our national defense and the sinister intentions of our enemies, both large and small, across the board.

We must act to protect our national security as well as the future of liberty itself.
